I had a ps2, and the online adaptor worked just fine, but for some reason its not working for my new ps3. I plus in the ethernet cable into my modem box, and when i click test connection, it says "An Ethernet cable is not attached", but it is. Can anyone explain if im doing anything wrong?? By the way, I have Time Warner Cable

I did all of that, it worked on my old ps2, but for some reason not on the ps3. I brought it back and got a new one, it still doesnt work, so i think its the digital cable service. Teyre coming out wednesday. Thanks!

you dont need an online adaptor
just like a PC you plug the cable straight into the PS3
then go to connection settings and follow it to the end
