I just got my wisdom teeth removed 3 days ago, and I have to spend the rest of the week resting. I can't workout, and I don't want to loose muscle. Is there anything I can do to make sure I don't loose my efforts? My bicepts are already soar please help!

dont fret over three days! or, in the longrun, about a week and a half! i doubt if you're really into working out and stuff, a week or so will not hurt you. besides, you'll be working out at the first sign of recovery!

If you have been working out and you biceps are sore I suggest you rest them. I think the reason why they are sore is because your muscle tissue is regenerating thus creating bigger muscles. It's actually a good thing that you have been working out prior to the removal of your wisdom tooth being pulled. Since working out is not an option at all when recovering, i think you're in luck. Cause my friends who work out always suggest that I rest a day or 2 if my muscles are sore.. Anyway, muscle tissue doesn't vanish in thin air if you don't work out for a day. You can always get back to working out when you are done recovering. No biggie. : )

Phone the dentist or the dental surgeon today or tomorrow.
Different patients have different procedures. Your might be a run of the mill wisdom tooth extraction and the secretary just parroted to you the standard post extraction instructions.

Talk tto the man himself, he can over rule the instructions or reinforce it depending on your case.

It is worth a call. :-)

I just had my wisdom teeth pulled a week ago, and didn't have any restrictions on exercise. But I did take the general anesthetic (they put me to sleep) and I have an antibiotic and a pain killer to take while I am recovering.
