I suffer from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, so yes, I do separate my cleaning rags from the rest of my laundry. I don't, however, treat three little rags as a full load. I wait until I have a full load and then wash them.

I put them with my white load, if the rags are any other color like blue yellow or what ever, than I would soak them in hot bleached water in a sink, so when I wash them with other white cloths, the colors wont run. So to answer your question, I wash rags with my cloths. But I do not do a lot of wash, I wear uniforms to work. I'm a Pilot (Captain). I take my wash to the dry cleaners, and cloths that don't need to be dry cleaned I usually have my maid do my wash for me.

I always wash them separately. Towels, underwear, socks and sheets get washed on heavy duty cycle in hot water with bleach. If you don't have enough clothes to do a full load, wait until you've taken a shower/bath, and throw your whites in with the rags.

Not me personally; my wife does! I once knew a bloke many years ago who was single, a bricklayer and engaged to a girl from N.Z. He was real laid back and he used to do his washing in a cement mixer which had never been used for mixing cement and his future wife was really fussy. She came to his flat one day just in time to see him washing out the mop in the toilet bowl. Now that's really bad hygiene!

I wash all towels (i.e. rags) together -- separated by colors and whites. I always add a capful of Pinesol or Fabuloso cleanser for sanitation and for the smell.

Separate-duh! Even if it's small, I mean it's disgusting to put them together.
