It's summer in Australia from December till the end of February its great weather to spend every second at the beach. I love my country

We don't just refer to December, January and February as Summer, they are our Summer months.
Long days, short nights, hot temperatures, days at the beach etc.
The Southern Hemisphere is the opposite of the Northern Hemisphere.

Yes, they are our summer months. But things can be a bit confusing - because Australia is such a big country our seasons differ from place to place.
In those summer months it is the wet season in our north - the tropics. That's when that region has 99% of it's rain - whereas down south & inland it is the dry season.
The tropics have dry cooler winters - with virtually no rain at all. At that same time the southern region is copping the majority of it's rain.

The easy answer is that they are in summer right now. Look at a picture or a globe. Find the equator. Everything to the top of the equator is in the same season, everything below the equator is in the same season. But the seasons are different for above and below. If you live in the U.S. or above the equator we are going into winter, anyone who lives in Australia or below the equator is going into summer. Hope this helps.

Summer as it's Down Under - underneath the equator where seasons are opposite of the northern hemisphere.

in some of the northern and desert regions of Australia summer starts well before december, its hot around september in nw W.A. and other areas.
