I have been told and have read, that sucking in your stomach while walking can be very good to help create definition. I do it and has worked well for me. It doesn't hurt anything and if it helps...then hey.....why not?

As long as you breathe properly through your stomach, it can tighten your abs a bit

And when you are standing still and when you are sitting down. Dont know what you are trying to ask here. Does it help tighten the abs ,yes.

you can. that would be considered an isometric contraction and over time would help to strengthen the abdominal muscles
