I definitely agree with you. I'd rather text, IM, email, or talk in person. But for some reason, I HATE talking on the phone unless it's a good friend of mine. And I'm sure many other people feel this way too (my friend does) so your girlfriend shouldn't mind. Just tell her the story. She'll understand.
