Same if you spread on a bagel, not the same in a recipe. Spead has additional ingredients to make it spreadable.

Yes, basically the same, the spreadable is fine on a bagel, but when I tried to sub it out one time for cream cheese in a cheesecake, I was really disappointed in the overall end result in the cheesecake.........We have, though, successfully used the Garlic/Herb Cream Cheese (in the plastic tub) in place of butter and cream in mashed potatoes, and they were incredibly delicious........I would say that it depends on the recipe..........Case by case basis........You didn't say how you were going to use it.......Enjoy~!!

If it is not flavored, it is the same except that it has more air whipped into to it so that it is easier to spread. Use it if it is not flavored with anything. It won't make that much difference even though it is really not the same.
