True but they wont buy you a nice birthday or Christmas present, or take you on a night out!

You get them from bodily contact with an infected person or by laying in the sheets that an infected persom has used. So all bedding should be thoroughly washed.

Incidentally I've heard a lot of lice get travel sick on public transport - makes then feel lousy.

The winter brings mice into homes and if they die in the walls the lice and fleas grow and spread. Got to spay . Treat the insect bite as harmful and use a disinfectant gel.
