The Jewish People have always been looking for the Messiah promised to them by God. They always expected Christ to come as a King, they never imagined that he would come as a servant. Christ came to our world out of Love and freely gave himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Unfortunately the Jewish people never understood what it would take for man to be reconciled to God.

Thinking will get you into trouble with true believers.
Have you not read the admonition in the bible regarding knowledge, how many times do you have to be told...do not gain knowledge and do not ask difficult questions. The church does not like these questions.
Jesus, real name "pbuh" was designed by Jews, supposedly came to Jews as a messiah. It is only fair to recognize that this particular messiah was specifically for Jews and no one else.
Of course, there were no christians around when pbuh supposedly arrived and he was, after all, a Semitic invention so why should christians be allowed to lay claim to the character.
Boy, isn't possession 9/10 of the law?

Because many Jews then believed that he would come as an earthly king and have a kingdom on earth. So the Jesus that was born to the working class goes against what they had assumed for years. Jesus also didn't have a good relationship with the most influential leaders in the Jewish community.

Most of them now don't believe he was the messiah. But, years ago some did and some didn't, and they had their reasons.
For one thing, there were a lot of messiahs back in Jesus' day. Why should they follow any of them?
For another thing, I think he really offended a lot of them by claiming to be the heir to David's throne, as David was their holiest king and Jesus was just a carpenter. So, in a way, they were snobs.
But now, in all reality, that's long forgotten. Jews are Jews and Christians are Christians and none of them really know the why of it.

Because the Jews refused to accept Jesus's teachings in the new testament and refuse to believe that he was a mesiah. The Jews believe only in the Old Testament=Torah.
Thats all my atheist mind understands.

Jesus was a Jew but the Jews seen him as a prophet at first, later they seen him as a rebel against the church, he was put down because he was seen as the Messiah and the Jews did not like that, because that was blasphemy in their minds, back then ignorants among the clerics ran ramped.

Actually many Jews believed in Him then and now. Look up Messianic Jews. In the first couple chapters of Acts I believe 8000 Jews converted.

If you read through-out the Bible the Jewish people were very arrogant and stiff-necked people. This is what God called them. They even had trouble believing that God was God, they would call on Him or perhaps good for one day and then right back to the same sinning.
The New Testament says, They (Jews) will weep when they realize that Jesus is the Messiah!
And God said, "They will be my people and I will be their God." Anyone who touches my Israel will be wiped off the face of the earth.
Israel will be the only Nation to survive the battle of Armageddon. The land of Israel will be cleansed, for this is where God will set-up His Kingdom.

God gave the gentiles an opportunity to become part of the family of God because the Jews rejected God even before Jesus came to the earth.
Here are a few scriptures you may want to study:
Rom:11:17: And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Rom:11:19: Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Rom:11:23: And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
Rom:11:24: For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

Jews believe Jesus was a human man that was a prophet. They don't believe he was divine or the son of God. They believe he existed though. ... but don't let me generalize here, lots of Jews believe lots of different things.
