I weigh 131 and am currently 5 3 and when i pinch the skin around my belly i have almost three inches so am i fat?

Do you feel healthy at the weight you're at? Can you walk / exercise without getting majorly out of breath?

Everyone's different and some people are better at a higher weight than others.

At that weight, a BMI test would probably tell you you're very overweight but if you feel healthy and happy, that should not bother you. Just ignore the scales and enjoy life. A life of dieting only leads to misery.

Fat is such a harsh word. I don't think anyone deserves to be called fat (whether they're calling themselves fat or someone else is). I think everyone's fine the way they are. Now i'm not trying to sound like some kind of pageant queen saying that everyone's beautiful in their own way. lol. But it's true. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." lol. Corny, yeah I know. But it's true. So that kind of question is for you to answer.

p.s. 131 is NOT FAT!! your weight is fine....... =]]

all teens need some belly fat so that they can grow up to be healthy adults. if you are realy concerned try eating small meals more often, exercise ( walking fast,sit ups,leg squats) for 20 mins twice a day. Eat breakfast and don't eat after 8pm. These things helped my curvy teen to get fit and tone up. Remember that we are not all built like Paris Hilton (and i for one am glad to have my womanly curves).

You are not fat.
As for being in shape, no way to know from what you said, but you are not overweight.

Sad that the media portrays people in such a fashion that you would even think you might be.

I think they say that if you can pinch an inch..you need to lose some fat.
You sound a bit chubby. Is that how people describe you.

No Way!!! If you were 5 foot you would be overweight but u r average height and it definetly doesn't sound like you are fat

Around your stomach, probaly. you just need to spread around that weight that is ALL around your belly and put some in your (if you a girl) ur but and ur boobs. that should help. (if you a guy) start to work out 4 gosh sakes!!!!
