If god confused the languages of the world at the tower of babel so people could not speak to each other, does that mean that learning foreign languages is a sin?

No, it just shows that trying to get to God by our own works will leave us very confused =)

No. But Nimrod, the lealder who was doing this, wanted to make a name for themselves (it was not a way to get into heaven).
