There's a show up here in Canada called "Just for Laughs: Gags." Basically, they put hidden cameras out on the street and set them up for a joke; kind of like Punk'd with circus/elevator music and no speech. Anyways, this one skit just aired where they had a few Muslim men praying in front of a parked car, acting totally obvlivious while the driver wanted to get out (one asshole even used his horn to get them to move). Personally, I'm an Canadian aethiest, and I found this personally offensive. Just curious as to how the Muslim people feel.

Actually, just to clear something, I'm talking about the use of Muslims praying to set up the joke, not the douchebag using the horn.

Im Muslim so yes i thought that was offensive but i wasnt head over heels for it. & i saw that one too. i thought it was funny but i wasnt laughing at the fact that they are making fun of the Muslims praying. i was laughing at how oblivious they were acting. there were some people who didnt say anything & jsut stood there waiting, but then there were some jerks too.
BTW what is an aethiest?? i know what atheist is but i dont know what aethiest is. is that even a word??

Im a muslim. I do think its offensive, but not bcoz of the muslim part of it.
I think that show is all about making fun of people which islam says no to. Entertainemnt is fun, but at the cost of ridiculing others?? Thats the question.

peace and blessings be upon you
thanks for your feelings, you are a good person.
But as muslims ,i think they shouldn't pray in the street ,they may pray in mosque , home , place of work or any closed place , i am not sure may they didn't find a clean place.
we only pray in the street in the feast as all the town men and women ,old , adult and children want pray together and don't find place take all of them together.
Really what happened wasn't good but i'm not sorry for the muslims but sorry for the others.

I won't be offended that they make fun of the people, that's what the program is about and tv shows do that all the time with priests and nuns, but I would be offended if they try to make fun of the prayers habit itself.. that's not nice at all.. it's an ugly idea

hmm..!!
after the sketches of Prophet Muhammad (saww) and running comedy (mostly mockery) on Jesus (as) and Noah (as) in cartoons and in films i would say it is merely offensive by the Canadian media to air such a clip ..!!
as me being a Muslim ... i have big things to worry than just a gag show clip ..! but i do appreciate ur concern and thank u on behalf of the Muslims all over the world. and pray to God to shower his bliss upon u .. oh! sorry u dont believe in God .. hehe :)

i watch the just for laughs ( the stage one, F'n hilarious!) and i also watch gags, but i didnt see this one you are reffering too, but i do think they need to have some respect.
then again, this show is made by a bunch of French Fries, so it doesn't suprise me too much.
and whats a canadian Aethiest?

Hey as long as the actors playing Muslims didn't break their salat I wouldn't care. You see gags/skits similar to this on CBM (Arab comedy show similar to SNL).

Yeah, I would be offended. When they're praying, they cant let anything get in between they're connection with God and it only takes about 5 min. anyway.
A Muslim.

thank you for saying that. Very few people ever actually feel for us. They just bash away..
We have been offended in so many ways..yes its very disrespectful to us, but thats just the least of our problems.
