I lift every other day heavy weight, im a big guy. I eat often and small, and the breathing and meditation works for about an hour after I do it but then my anxiety or some trigger just gets me all messed up.

I am not a psychologist or other mental health professional. I have experienced extreme anxiety in my lifetime. I know it is fear of something either that you know of or that unconsciously affects you when something reminds you of it. In the latter case it is an unknown fear. Like all fears, in order to get away from them recurring you have to find out what it is that is causing your fear and either face it and/or rationalize it in such a way it presents no danger. There is no disgrace in experiencing fear we are born with this emotion along with 6-7 other basic ones.

Medications can only relieve the peaks of anxiety they can not eliminate it especially if it is due to an unconscious memory. That is what psychotherapy is for.

SSRI's are given to relieve the symptoms of depression not usually anxiety.
Klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine given to relieve symptoms of petit mal seizures and panic attacks. It is a central nervous system depressant and that is probably why the SSRI's are prescribed. You can find out much more about the drugs by googling them or typing in "klonopin" and "SSRI medications" into Yahoo! web search.

I suggest that if the med's do not work for you full time that you seriously seek psychotherapy. You have to bring your fears into the open and face them.

Good luck in your research and treatment, good mental health, peace and Love!
