Much "art" is blasphemous. There is a school of art appreciation that believes that art is communication. So if it is the intent of the artist to disgust and nauseate you and you are disgusted and nauseated then the artist was successful. But what if you have no desire to be disgusted and nauseated?

Most people blaspheme out of ignorance, not realising it is against one of the ten commandments. Does it have anything to commend it, either linguistically or artistically? Not as far as I know.
