I would like to invite everyone to share their thoughts, ideas, experiences regarding organized religion as you understand it. Which religion or spiritual path appeals to you, and why? Given the chance to choose one religion/spiritual path for all humankind, which one would you choose, and why? Can we embrace our differences and unite with organized religion in the picture? Does religion have a place in modern society?

Many thanks in advance for taking the time to share your experiences, thoughts, views, hopes and aspirations. I am anxiously awaiting your responses.

Cheers ; )

Religion could be a great force for good in this world. But, it first has to become more like science. It must open up to the best and newest in spiritual ideas, and training techniques. It should get into research into the inner reaches of our subconscious through research into dreams, and their connection to the spiritual realm, and research using hypnotism. A strong focus should be on this reality and elevating the morality here on earth. So that we will be better able to handle the struggle of life, and transform this world into a better place.

With the exception of the USA, most modern, civilised countries have become more secular and the harmful influences of religion have been reduced.
At the same time with the exception of the USA, the incidence of crime in those countries has reduced.
By extrapolation, I would say that the less religious influence there is, the better for the majority of people.
Religions are probably the most divisive organisations ever to have cast a shadow over the earth.

Religion is one of the world's last great unsolved evils.

It is behind almost all of the atrocities of the last 50 years, including the Balkan wars, 9/11. Christian terrorism in Ireland, the list is almost endless. White supremacy in the USA even owes a large allegiance to religious bias, and Papal intervention is the main reason that anti AIDS campaiongs across Africa have failed.

In short, religion kills. It kills millions. Maybe billions. By any definition it is mankinds greatest evil.

And it appears to be getting worse, right at the time when everything else is getting better for most people.

Religion, as dogma, should have no place in modern society. The focus in schools should be to reinforce science education and teach Occam's razor and the scientific method.

Only then we will see a reduction in financial scams, abuse by clergy, and all that fools innocents into believing in hoopla
