"Hoppe's #9" is on all my bottles. Bluing, solvent, degreaser, oil etc etc etc. Would be awfully hard to market a bunch of different products if they were all "product #9", ya think? I'd say it's a brand, not a product number.

Hoppe's is the name brand, but I haven't seen a cold blue by them. I use brownell's bluing and it works pretty well for touch ups etc.
