For your information, Jesus did not originate the golden rule. He borrowed that from Confucius, who predated Jesus by about 500 years.

Why cant you accept that the bible is infallable, do the math (I assume you can do math but I am just assuming) there are 2500 prophecies in the bible concerning the messiah, 2000 have come to pass in acceptional accuracy, there are 500 left and as we go through time we will see them unfold. Now ill break it down- The probability of just one of these prophecies happening randomly is 1 in 10 conservativley- If you string all 2000 together that have come to pass in the level of detail that they have the probability is 1 to 10 to the 2000th power ill break it down even further, you have a better chance of buying 1 lottery ticket and playing the same numbers every week for ten years and winning every time, there are better odds of the second law of thermodynamics actually reversing, maybe you have a better argument than that but I would like to hear it

CC-Confucius didn't predate God by no amount of time.
Twelve of those well-meaning, over-zealous people walked with Jesus and died for Him.
If Jesus was just a great philosopher and if Jesus didn't heal all of those people and raise them from the dead and fix their minds from severe mental disorders, go to the cross, be crucified and resurrected, then that would mean that we are still dead in sin and bound for hell.
See, Jesus' message was that we must accept Him as Lord and Savior and believe on Him, because if He wasn't resurrected then neither will you and I be resurrected.
If you miss Jesus' message, you miss everlasting life.
Have a blessed day.

It is entirely possible that Jesus did perform miracles by GOD's leave. That still doesn't make him GOD though.
I feel bad for Jesus and GOD. GOD isn't getting any credit for GOD's own works, like the healing mentioned in the first post and Jesus is getting all the glory he never asked for. That and he's probably tired of seeing how stupid his followers are for not even listening to anything he had to say.

the main extreme subject to understand approximately starting to be a Christian is to understand the gospel. The gospel has basically a somewhat easy message: Jesus died, Jesus grew to become into buried, Jesus Rose from the ineffective. in case you have self assurance he did those 3 issues and that he did it for you, in my opinion, to forgive you of your sins, then you definitely have already got become a Christian. Now, locate a bible believing church so which you will learn greater approximately Jesus and what he taught. And pray that God grants understanding and understanding.

Well then what about the time he got up after being dead two days, and started walking around like nothing ever happened?
Two weeks later he rose into the sky and became a god. How do you explain that?
Then he'll return accompanied by forty billion angels blowing bugles. Or is it bagels I forget.

Even Jesus would agree with you, all miracles come from God, the Father. I saw Bishop Spong shortly after his wife died, he held no anamosity toward God and that is our best choice.

The Bible does not describe Jesus’ miracles as tricks or illusions designed to entertain people. They were manifestations of “the majestic power of God,” as in the case of a boy from whom Jesus expelled a demon. (Luke 9:37-43)
The Gospel accounts refer to some 35 miracles of Jesus. But the total number of his miracles is not revealed. For instance, Matthew 14:14 states: “He [Jesus] saw a great crowd; and he felt pity for them, and he cured their sick ones.” We are not told how many sick people he cured on that occasion.
Such powerful works were central to Jesus’ claim that he was the Son of God, the promised Messiah. The Scriptures did indeed show that God-given power enabled Jesus to perform miracles. The apostle Peter referred to Jesus as “a man publicly shown by God to you through powerful works and portents and signs that God did through him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.” (Acts 2:22) On another occasion, Peter pointed out that “God anointed him [Jesus] with holy spirit and power, and he went through the land doing good and healing all those oppressed by the Devil; because God was with him.”—Acts 10:37, 38.
The miracles of Jesus were intertwined with his message. Mark 1:21-27 reveals the reaction of the crowd to Jesus’ teaching and to one of his miracles. Mark 1:22 says that the crowds “became astounded at his way of teaching,” and verse 27 points out that the people were “astonished” when he expelled a demon. Both Jesus’ powerful works and his message provided proof that he was the promised Messiah.
Jesus did not merely claim that he was the Messiah; along with his words and other deeds, the God-given power displayed in his miracles furnished evidence of his Messiahship. When questions about his role and commission arose, Jesus boldly replied: “I have the witness greater than that of John [the Baptizer], for the very works that my Father assigned me to accomplish, the works themselves that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father dispatched me.”—John 5:36.

So you don't believe the same things that Christians do; that's fine. It's good that you are an individual.
I just have different beliefs.
Stop trying to get people to change, and try to be more tolerant of other kinds of people. Nobody is ever going to be all the same as you...get over it. Accept Christian peoples' beliefs. We all have our own beliefs, just like you do. So if you want people to accept your ideas of who Jesus is, first accept other people's ideas.
