Am going for a meal next weekend with my partner and another couple. this will be the first time i have been out in over a year as had a baby in June. Have got my pre preg figure back and so want to go out dressed up to the nines (the resturant is quite posh). The other woman going has just announced that she will only be wearing jeans and t shirt, what do i do? do i go ahead with full on glamour or do i wear the jeans that i have been living in for the last six months? Want to look nice but dont want to feel silly.

Well, you especially want to dress up because you haven't had much chance to. It would be better to dress down a bit, especially since she's already set the dress code. Instead of jeans, though, why not a really nice-fitting pair of dress slacks and a nice top?

You don't want to be overdressed in any situation. If the restaurant is a posh restaurant, then my question is why is she just wearing jeans and a tee-shirt. If you want to wear jeans also, you can glam up jeans. I've noticed celebs wear jeans and drop dead hi-heel shoes a slinky top with a belt. Since it's the holidays and if everyone wears jeans, why not black jeans and a nice festive top with boots or hi-heeled shoes. Or, if you want to call the restaurant to see if they have a dress code. If so, then mention to the other woman there is a dress code and that jeans are not acceptable, then dress accordingly. But if jeans are acceptable, then glam them up and you will fit it with both the woman guest and the restaurant and still be able to show off your pre-preggers figure at the same time. .

You dont have to feel silly. She has the right to dress the way she wants. I would never wear jeans to a posh place. I would get dressed up to the nines and rock your new figure. You could let her know you have been living in jeans for months and since this is your first time going out since the baby, you plan to get dressed up. Whatever she decides to do at that point is simply up to her. I know plenty of girls who refuse to get dressed up that is there problem. I always get dressed up when I go out. It makes me feel good.

You just go for it dah-ling, in your own style and don't EVER let anyone dictate the standard. If your friend wants to wear jeans to a smart restaurant you know who the maitre'd will looking askance at when you enter. Besides, it's nice to get dressed up sweetie. Especially as you haven't been out for a while and as you have figure back( congrats on the baby by the way ), show it off !!!! Hope have a wonderful evening

You don't want to make her look silly, especially if she has already told you. You can either a) mention to her that you think it would be fun to dress up (or get your partner to mention it to the other couple) or b) wear something inbetween, like a nice top and dark trouser jeans, or, better yet, a casual dress with some neat jewelry- these usually go either way.

heres how to dress up and down. so you feel hot and helping her feel comfertable at the same time. wear a dress type shirt a pair of jeans and a shoe with a nice sex heal. do your make up and hair to look great. also becaus eit is an up scale rest make sure you bring a skirt with you that you can change into in case she changes her mind. thats what i had to do for a wedding i went to . it was part dress nice then back yard barbaque type thing.

Dress up !!!! Be a knockout any woman that doesn't take the opportunity of out displacing other women in dress does not deserve to be called a full woman its a competitive world with women too !!!!!

You wear your glam stuff! doesn't sound like jeans and T-shirt are appropriate. Sounds like you are looking forward to it, don't let misery guts spoil your evening - it's coming up to Christmas! not that you need an excuse - I just hope she doen't feel a little underdressed for the occasion. Have a great time and remember one phone call to the babysitter only!!!! no fretting allowed!

wear something smart but a bit sexy- a top that shows some cleavage, perhaps. And heels. The other woman sounds tatty. Too many women don't make any effort to look feminine.
Put your glad-rags on, some red lippy, heels, and enjoy yourself

no way! u should definately go for it. you havnt been out in ages this is the first in ages so make sure u enjoy it, im sure ure husband will love it.
do the whole hair make-up, dress, shoes..the lot! buy yourself some sexy accessories! i bet u will have a fabulous night and feel a million dollars!
she will be the one feeling uncomfortable not you! id love an excuse to get all dolled up as they say, for a night!
so, totaly go for it u deserve a treat..:D
