Christian Values have created a lot of evil over the last two millenia. That doesn't mean that all Christians or that Christian values are evil. That just means that humans have used Christian values to further their own agendas. That kind of abuse is evil and whatever is created from that is evil.

Yes. Since most religions share similar values you could even say that all political systems are evil. however this is not the care as it may not be the system at fault but the people elected to run the system. as the old saying goes power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. you also have to take into account other nations vested interests as well as corporate interests that can be used to sway governments and the people that things like war and unrest are a good thing. As it can make them more money and boost there market share in the areas affected. It really dose not matter weather the political system is based on Christian values or not in the end it's almost irrelevant any system in the wrong hands whatever the original intentions might have been can and it's sad to say often are lead down the dark path of corruption and "Evil" what ever evil is? and that is for you to decide for yourself.

Our forefathers wanted religion and politics/government separate, but do you really believe that was done? I am sure some were atheist, but more were Christians. I think they forced their religion on the Indians. How many times have you seen the Presidents sworn in with their hands on the bible? Don't the Judges of the Supreme Court, Senators, and House of Representatives say a prayer before started work? If America's political system is evil, what are other countries political systems?

But Christian values does not preclude that all other value systems are different or evil. One of the values was that it should not be involved much in secular governments, yet now it is....so it does change and therefor hard to define.

An evil government would be one that at least says it is based on high religious & moral values, yet in practice is not such as the current administration.

If it's evil, it's evil. I'm a Christian, and strongly support the separation of church and state. Besides, there can be endless debates on what constitutes "Christian values" in the first place. The values of some hardcore right-wing Fundamentalist who advocates a theocracy have nothing whatsoever to do with my own concept of Christian values. I personally feel that it's best to keep religion and politics separate.

The political systems of many muslim countries are not based on Christian values, and arguably not even on muslim values. Any government which represses its citizens, and persecutes and murders its opponents is evil.
You couldn't say that any evil political system is based on Christian values, even if they claim to be.

One of the primary values of Christianity as expressed through Christ's teachings and actions while living on earth is that worldly power is not the goal, but to live as citizens of God's kingdom. So even if a political system is supposedly based on "Christian values" it should not be blindly presumed to perfectly reflect the principles taught by Christ.

I'm not aware of ANY political system that is based on Christian values. It may have started that way but it has not turned out that way.

I don't think the bible specifically condemns any type of government, be it democratic, monarchy, oligarchy. An evil system is still better than no system according to Christianity.

Quote: "i would say that the ppl that are running the gov are not following those values and twisting them and manipulating them to have them work in their favor."

Response: Hurray for churches, religion and the bible! Mankind does the exact same thing, not just politicians.
