Find a Community Thrift Shop or Goodwill store in your area, they need volunteers this time of year to sort thru winter clothing and help unload trucks. You could just about get it done in one day. You just might enjoy it.

10 hours is nothing. I have to do 60 hours for court. Im doing it at a homeless shelter/charity church place. I would choose to do it at a place of charity that helps people. Im working in a kitchen preparing food for homeless people and then working in the donations center some of the time too collecting donations from people like clothing and what not. Its alot better then picking up trash on the side of the road or cleaning up a park (which is other forms of community service).

I'm in the same predicament so maybe you should babysit, help a local church feed the homeless, cut a neighbor's grass, help around your school ( such as asking teachers what you can do for them and tell them you need community service hours-they should be able to help more).
That's what I'm doing so GOOD LUCK!

Collect pencils from family and friends for The Pencil Project. It's easy and requires little effort. Plus you will be making a huge difference.

Your local animal shelter!
Its a lot of fun and there is a lot to learn there if you are especially interested in animals.
The dogs will love you for it!
