Okay, my time for serious reflection is over.

I have seen quite a few "questions" like yours here on Yahoo! Answers, and I must say the smell of those "questions" is rather foul. I think it's time you gave some serious reflection to just what it is you are doing. I obey man, since when the doctor tells me to drop my trousers and cough - it is for a good reason. I do not, and I will not, obey whatever god it is that you feel you have to do this for.

When you go for a Sunday morning drive, and you speed 10 miles per hour faster than you're supposed to because you're late for church and you get a speeding ticket: do you tell the traffic court that you were obeying GOD and had to get to church fast, and not be late, or do you obey THE MAN and pay the fine?

That depends, I obey man's legal laws and I also obey my own spiritual laws, which BTW do not conflict with most of the legal laws. But of course I must first and foremost To Thine Own Self Be True.

There is no god to obey. I obey the laws of the county, state, and country in which I live.

I obey my own moral judgements. Only a fool would ignore such a vital and integral part of the human psyche in favour of 2000 year old fiction. That's just incredibly dangerous.

Disobedience is a virtue. If we all obeyed we would still be living in caves and worshipping non-existent deities...

Well, at least we're no longer living in caves...

I use common sense. Day in and day out. By the way do you know where God is?
