I just checked your Q&A, and you are referring to the "All you need is love" question. Correct? I ask, because I answered it, and it's missing.
That's ironic that you received a violation for that, because this morning, I awoke to a VN for a question I asked yesterday, which was simply a gentle reminder for people to use kind words when answering prayer requests. Those who are asking are hurting, and reaching out in the best way they know how, and compassion is the key.
I never expected that particular question to be in violation, but it was. Apparently, there is someone out there who is definitely not feeling the love. That's quite a shame, as both of these were respectful questions.
I've decide that it no longer matters what I say or do, because the VN's will come flying in regardless. I did have to close up contacts again, due to someone whom I knew I could not trust adding themselves, and then sending hurtful mail. In doing so, I ended up deleting you, for which I am sorry.

You can get violations for answering questions too, I've got over 15 for that, and about 10 for asking questions. To stop getting violations you must only speak in gooey mushy terms, and never rock the boat, ark, or whatever. Have a good Thanksgiving.

first of all it takes 2 people reporting to get someone removed, not just one, so I don't think it's for spite. And secondly, find yourself a hobby so you won't get upset. Lot of these people who are reported and complain I go to their account to look at what questions they asked, but they have already blocked that from everyone, so how are we supposed to give them a good answer as to why they were reported???? I think when they complain about being reported that they are merely blowing off steam, don't want anyone to help them, so therefore you should not concern yourself about it either. Actually reporting to Yahoo is the job of anyone who uses Yahoo Q&A according to the rules. And anything abusive, race related, any ads and such do get reported by many people, so that one person you're accusing is inaccurate. It's not always the same person making the report. I'd be wondering just what those people told Yahoo to get their question restored.

STOP FORMING OPINIONS!
You're just asking for a violation notice when you form an opinion, well, at least that might be the case if you were to think about a subject and then state your informed opinion on the topic and people would then disagree and some dissagree strongly and others would push the button because you have an opinion and they gots no life whatsoever. So...
STOP FORMING OPINIONS!

I have found you can get a violation for asking and answering questions. I guess the only sure way not to get a violation is to not do anything at all.

I haven't seen any of your deleted questions so I can't be specific...and I can't recall reporting you for any violations... but I would suggest that you read the community guidelines and stop violating the rules. More specifically, before you ask a question, put yourself in the shoes of the person you're questioning...would you interpret your words as an attack if someone said something similar to you? It is quite possible to question others' beliefs without attacking their intelligence, sanity, or otherwise making global judgments.

well, actually, yes. i have never gotten a violation for an answer, which is odd, because when i answer i can say some really messed up things. but when i ask a question , say, is the sky blue? , the violation is coming.

I've found that it depends on category. I ask the fewest questions in R&S, but receive the most violations per question. Lots of touchy folks, here.

I just got one, too. Yes, I think no matter what we say we offend people even when we don't break community guidelines or say anything offensive.
