You will find that in all religions there are many man made rules and laws, that have nothing to do with gods rules or laws. Man has intervened so much, many no longer beleave in god.

I'm also a Catholic and congratulations on your Confirmation. I believe the only reason is because homosexuality is not approved in the Holy Bible. I have a few friends who are homosexual and they are pretty cool people. Keep up the good work.

Response:
So is killing, murder, worshiping false idols, hell, even going to the bathroom is a sin, if you really interpret the bible. It's a work of fiction, and as such, is not meant to be taken literally.

Hey, congrats on your confirmation!
I think many people discriminate against homosexuals because they actively choose a lifestyle that goes directly against God's will. That makes it kind of difficult, for some, to love the sinner while still hating the sin.
Homosexuals who commit to a life of celibacy because they want to obey God, are some of the most faithful and admirable people in the world, in my opinion. I thank God I don't have to deal with the temptations and challenges they face daily.
God bless you!

I am a Christian and I am also a Bisexual. Religion does what religion means to do. But Jesus Christ saves. So if religion and confirmations, and rituals, and observances are what is important to you, then you have to adopt what that religion that you decided to subject yourself to as being the truth.
You belong to them.
But if you have questions like this one, perhaps that religion is not right for you, otherwise you go through life in constant disobedience and doubt as to what you subjected yourself to.
Jesus never said anything about Roman Catholics, an neither did he say to be religious. But what He did say is to trust God by believing in him. Jesus is the way to know God, according to the Bible, not all those other things.

God explicitly said homosexuality was wrong. BUT he also said to love everyone. Paul put's it well in Corinthians, he says that there is no way you can ever get away from sin, or people who sin, and that in fact you SHOULDN"T get away from them. Instead, you must love them as God loves you, and try to see things from their point of view. Only watch out that you don't become too comfortable in their company to forget God and accept their ways. Hope this helps a little?

well im a penticostal christian. and i have a gay uncle. i still love him but i dont love his sin. the bible says:"Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." in Cor. 6:10. God made man for woman and woman for man. If God approves of same sex marriages and relationships then why did he make eve for adam instead of eve and another guy for adam to choose? It says in the Bible many things against same sex relationships. And the Bible is God-breathed. So i yes homosexuality is wrong and is a serious sin. But you shouldnt hate these people. You should still love them and witness to them and be their friend.

No one said that homosexuals were not nice.
Catholicism has answered this question, you just need to hear the answer. Catholicism view homosexuality as a choice and hence a sin.
After class, ask you teacher this same question along with my brief answer, and he/she should be able to help with answer.

You can't blame the religion for what the people do. I'm an atheist, but I never use the excuse that "Allah told the terrorists to bomb WTC." It's just total bull.
People have their own beliefs, right or wrong.

These people are not Christians. Their religion is Hate. Haters infilitrate all religions in order to sow the seeds of their insidious agenda. The founder of Christianity taught the world that he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone. Stick to the true teachings, and ignore the false preachings.
