Hes an atheist. I kinda am too but not really, its just sometimes I doubt my religion. My family is totally opposed to atheism and thererfore, is totally opposed to him. I like him- hes good looking and talented, but I really dont see a future with him besides friendship. Plus, I heard that hes a perv and a player which when I met him doesnt really seem true. I was trying to avoid him to keep the distance but then I felt badly and weve started to talk on myspace/ facebook again. what can I do without leading him on etc? help! aLSO, i dont know how he feels. maybe he just has a flirtacious nature but might still want to be friends. what are some signs to tell..?? please help!

well, for one thing, dont flirt back! if he makes any moves on you, politley excuse them, but firmly also. after a little bit he will figure out that friendship is the only thing you want. Trust me, I had the same problem, and it wasnt all that easy. if he isnt getting the hint though, just tell him nicely that you dont like him that way but want to remain friends, (but only if you really want to.)
i hope that helped!

Nothing wrong with being friends, but you dont really know him that well.Your family probably is afraid you will fall for him which you are and will end up in a relationship with an atheist. Before you go too far in maybe listening to the wrong things concerning religion, get the books :
"The Bone peddler's:selling evolution" by Wm. R. Fix
and "A case for a creator" ,I forget the authors name. The first book is by an agnostic not a Christian and it exposes problems on both sides of the religious and the atheistic.
However he is probably not going to change, so as far as being a happy family if you decide to follow through with GOD then it will not work out.It hurts to put down a relationship when you are attracted to someone and like them but if you know the end result will be disasterous then you have to bite the bullet hurt heal and move on.
