There will be plenty of time in the future to live away from your family, why miss the best years of your life away from them? I mean, there are certainly exceptions to this but for the most part, the reasons are quite lame. Getting your own place so you can have irresponsible sex and do other irresponsible things is not a reason to move out. Sex shouldn't even come before marriage, but that's another issue altogether. Staying at home gives one the opportunity to spend time with their family since they won't be around forever. Plus, there isn't any rent or expenses, you get your laundry done and meals cooked. I don't see what the rush is! I am a 28 year old male and I don't plan to move out until I am at least 30-35. Life is good! But please, help me understand why people feel so rushed to move out and why women my age don't see the logic and beauty of this choice? Family values are not attractive? What a world we live in indeed!!

All I hear about constantly is, "How can you take a girl home to spend the night?" Why would I take a girl home to spend the night if we aren't married? That's like a non-question people throw at me a lot. I just don't understand the way people think. I really think it is just jealousy.
I also live at home with my other adult sibling whom are 26 and 24. Living together as adults is really cool as we can all help each other out with job advice etc. Plus it's easy to hang out with one another.
Another plus that girls should see as I great plus is that I am still pure in every sense. I haven't even had my first kiss yet! :-) Anyone else have the same opinions as me?

Sorry, time to move out and move on. You are stuck emotionally while you live at home. Funny, this is mostly with young men! And not to have irresponsible sex--to develop yourself as a person so than when you do get married, you are NOT just replacing one support system with another.

If you really had "family values" you would contribute towards the running costs of the house...you are an adult. Nothing wrong with living at home but you need to pay your way.

Not everybody moves out to have irresponsible sex and other things....they do it for independence.

You've asked this before.
I still disagree with you.

Do you live in a small town by any chance?
