Jos 24:2 -
And Joshua said to all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, [even] Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor: and they served other gods.

It very clearly says 'served other gods' and makes no suggestion that they were invented.

17 For the LORD our God, he [it is] that brought us, and our fathers, out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: 18 And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites who dwelt in the land: [therefore] will we also serve the LORD; for he [is] our God. 19 And Joshua said to the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he [is] a holy God; he [is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions, nor your sins. 20 If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. 21 And the people said to Joshua, No; but we will serve the LORD. 22 And Joshua said to the people, Ye [are] witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, [We are] witnesses.

Please note this does not say false gods. The implication of the wording suggests other REAL gods. I really don't think we're debating Thor and the like right now but, when you do, can you prove Thor does not exist?

Yeah, like thor, odin, ra, mercury, dagon, jupiter, allah, etc. People have worshiped false deities since the beginning, but they are not gods at all. The bible says that some people make their stomach god, and satan is referred to as the god of this world, meaning people obey him more than the actual God of Jesus Christ. There is only one God, even if we want to carve a face on a tree and call it god. How stupid.

This is primitive Bullshit. There are no gods, no miracles. the world is full of primitive fools. You don't have to believe in spectral beings to be a good person. There is too much religious superstition on this Planet. Too much in the way of tribal and Territorial mentalities. Each one saying that they are superior in some way to others.
All religions stem from the primitive mind of eons ago in their at temp to make sense of the world. With no science or any kind of progressive knowledge seeking base they chose to create gods as a reason for any kind of strange phenomena. religious superstition is thee greatest burden on th back of modern Humans. It is an insult to the scientific understanding and study of the Universe and all it's Magnificent Manifestations.

Yes. Abraham's father Terah was probably a tirhu or oracle priest. The gods then were not spiritual gods but aliens, the Anachim who were mistaken as gods. A tirhu was not really a priest but was the go-between between the humans and their alien bosses.

Of course there are other gods. The Christian god said so himself when he stated that "Thou shall have no other gods before me." He did not say that there were no other gods to worship just that he wanted to be first and foremost in his peoples lives. If the Christian god did not deny the existence of other deities then it is awfully silly for his people to deny their existence.

If you do a time-line on ancient history then you will see clearly that the Christian god (who came after the Jewish god) was rather late on the scene. There were millions of other peoples in other cultures worshiping other deities for thousands of years before the Christians ever came on the scene.

Yes there were and are other gods and goddesses. I do not believe that a god created us, but that we created gods as an explanation for things we did not or do not understand.
Without people who keep a god or gods in mind, would they exist?

That would be idols and golden calves and the like.
If you take a look at some modern cultures you will see
the same thing...

God was calling on the Nation not go back to those ways.

It means they created gods for themselves and worshiped them in place of THE God. A god in this sense is usually a carved idol or image which has no life, no spirit, except for possibly the demonic. So yes there can be other gods, but they are false gods.

There is just as much evidence for those so called other gods as there is for yours.
