theres dials that make the picture bigger or smaller...
I used it in a darkroom once but i dont remember what its called.

My textbook calls it a printing frame. The enlarger is the box on a stick that casts the light, and enlarges or reduces the size of the image. The easel is what holds the paper in place.

The enlarger is the whole device. The "head" contains the light. The negatives are placed in a "negative carrier" and placed in the enlarger between the light source and the lens.
