Are you saying that God definitely exists because he walked up your drive way, posted a letter in your letterbox and than ran away? Did the neighbours see him?
What about this... Where did that money from? Either god stole it from someone which is a sin.. or he magically created it which brings outside money into the economy thus inflating it.. which is a crime, yes it is.

Proof requires something more than 'he-said, she-said'; even human courts deny second-hand information nowadays.
So, for the record, it is possible that someone would 'lie' to prove their point, so that their point wouldn't be proved at all.
Secondly, if you aren't lying, since you were looking for proof of God by praying, the money in the envelope doesn't necessarily mean as much: if you are convinced a dog is peeing on your tree (and not a cat or some other animal) than it only takes one dog to pee when you see it (while ignoring any other animal doing the same) to 'convince' you that your assumption was right. Doesn't make it so: the dog could have come later, and it was a cat that originally did the peeing, which would make your 'assumption' wrong, no matter how many dogs peed on your tree afterwards.
Since 'God' cannot be empircally questioned, quantified, subjected, questioned or whatnot, then the question of God cannot be 'proved' since proof requires evidence that excludes as well as includes. 2+2=4 because the definition of what defines '2' and '4' also excludes other possibilities, like 2+2=12 or 2+2=56.
If your good fortune proved to you that God exists, then it only proved it, as such, to you, which is perhaps the only person to whom it could be proven to.

It's proof only that you have a generous benefactor or friend. It is certainly not proof that any god exists. Someone probably noted that you needed money and gave you some. Does that mean that there is a God?
If you really want proof though, and you think your prayers that effecacious, why not find someone who is a paraplegic, with a completely severed spinal cord, and pray for them. If, while you are praying, they get up and out of their chair, fully healed, you'll have something. Show me that person's MRI, with the severed spinal cord. Show me the follow-up MRI after the healing, documented and certified by the treating physicians (Anyone can fake anything these days), and I'll agree that you've got something.
$500 in the mailbox doesn't take a god; merely a friend who has the money and knows you are in need.

Do starving people get food? Sometimes, but then again, every 3 seconds another child dies from starvation. Why would God love you more? Probably some people gave you some money. yes you can say God put the generosity in their hearst and stuff, but just the fact that you have a mailbox proves you are a lot better off then 3/4 of the world. Why would'nt God put generosity in someone elses heart to help someone needier then you?

And now, for the real answer. Whoever caused that money to go in your mailbox was influenced to do so by God, for whatever reason He had in mind. You may never figure it out until you get to heaven. Then maybe He will introduce you to the person who prayed for you and to the one who put the money in the envelope. You'll also meet hundreds of people who He has inspired to interact with you during your life in an attempt to get you to accept His Son, Jesus Christ. Someone plants the seed, others water it and it grows into faith.

Someone knew you needed it and placed it upon the heart of one who knew..... That's how God works....
I saw a woman on the street. and she had begged for money. I emptied my purse of the little change I had and gave it to her. This was late one night while I was on my way to work.
I saw another woman on the street, another night and she gave a long story about how they needed to buy their child some pampers. I gave her a crisp clean 20.00 bill. ((Pampers are expensive anymore)).
The woman I gave the 20.00 to, I saw her walking through town in the day and she and the other woman were counting the money openly from all the fools they collected from.....
It was 2 days later, i was leaving work in the morning on my way to court and I saw the woman I gave the change to. This woman broke down and cried when she saw me and thanked me. She said that change I gave her allowed her to afford insulin for the night. It was just enough to get her through.
You never know when God informs the spirit to act. That is how God has always worked.
When the spirit moves..... God knows what you need. but, you must ask for it.
Your sister,
Ginger

No. There is no proof that God exists. God existence is beyond the scope of science.
As for your $500.00, consider yourself fortunate. Some man decided to help you.
Answer: There are four accounts stating Jesus' position on money.

I think it was some good samaratan or possibly a group of people that put some money together for you. Obviously others knew of your predicament, most likely they were members of your congregation and wanted to help you out.
If it was gawd that did it, he could have given you all the money you needed to wipe out your debts or even just cleared them all by himself but he didn't. That's because he doesn't exist except in the minds of the people that gave you that money.
Besides, if that was all there was to it, then the majority of really poor people wouldn't be poor because gawd would just give them money when they needed it.

No.. First, there's no proof that that even happened. Second, "God" must be very busy answering everybody's money prayers, finally, coincidences are fun, but definitely not proof of God.
Look at it this way.
I prayed.
I got money when I needed it.
Therefore God exists.
The is that self-conclusive and axiomatic? No. Could have been a good samaritan, could've been lost by somebody worse off than yourself.. 'accepting' that money as a 'gift' from God may have got somebody killed.

Yes God works in the most amazing ways. I have had simular things happen to me like this before. At times i have given money to charity and in return i have had money come back twice over the amount i gave out. God is most just.
