Alex is such a beautiful name, you would only ruin it by adding III! So leave it as it is, plain and beautiful!

Not a fan of doing that in the modern era, it didn't matter in the old days, but today with computers and credit reports and so forth I just don't think it's a good idea to name your kids after you. You probably should use the III.

Yes! It could cause you problems later on with your credit report or bank accounts.

My mother has worked at a bank for 25 years and has dealt with numerous horror stories of the Jr's, Sr's, and III's not using their full names and all their info. getting jumbled.
