i have been asked by my teacher to make a Christmas cake, as no one in my family likes Christmas cakes i have the option to make an alternative cake. But the cake must stay fresh till Christmas, does anyone know of such a cake that does not contain fruit, nuts etc
many thanks

Well there aren't really any other cakes that will last until christmas other than a fruit cake. I think the best thing to do would be to bake any other cake of your choice, and then freeze it until christmas. You could make something like a chocolate log which is very festive. Good luck...I'm sure whatever you make it will be lovely!

I consistently make one classic Christmas pudding and yet another one that's a tiffin/chocolate biscuit one. in case you're making it in a pudding basin and then turn it out, that's the comparable shape as a Christmas pudding. in case then you definitely mixture icing sugar and water to a white paste consistency and ice the precise yet enable it to dribble down the factors and positioned on precise a pair of the two marzipan or icing holly leaf shapes with a pair of berries, it sounds as though very ornamental and is going down o.k. with infants!
