why doesn't the plastic bag put around the turkey melt? it's hot enough in there?

my cousin wants to know...asap!

It's a thermal bag meant to withstand temps up to around 400 - 450 deg unless you're talking about the plastic wrap that comes with the turkey then you want to remove it.
Make sure she's talking about a oven bag.
