If you mean New Years Day, yes there are trains. There appears to be a full service to Southampton, for example there are 5 trains between 10.15am and 11.35pm from London to that destination. Check www.thetrainline.com

On New Years Eve trains will finish at their usual times with some operators providing extra later trains for revellers. On New Years Day most operators will run to either a Saturday or
Sunday pattern of operation. The main operator into Hampshire from London is South West Trains from Waterloo
Station - southwesttrains.co.uk or telephone National Rail Enquires 08457 484950

Yes there are services. New Years Eve is a normal Saturday service (Xmas week is always a Saturday Service for some reason, I am sure the companies dont realise that people have to work a lot more during that period) and New Years Day is normally a Sunday Service.
Where do you want to go from to and at what time? Enquire at your local station for more details as the Xmas Timetables are all out in the computer systems
