I have a Canadian residency and would like to visit the US for few days , do I need a vis to there ?

yes you do.. i just went through this with my Grandmother.. she is a permanent resident but not a citizen,, you wil lbe asked to fill out a visa form with your sin # and perm.resident card # at the airport.. it took all of 2 minutes...all other id such as passport are required to prove who you are... but you dont need to get the BIG VISA from the embassy...

You will need your passport, that's for sure. A visa may be necessary, depending on your country of origin. And of course, if you have a criminal record somewhere, it would be best to ignore trying to get into the US, otherwise you might end up in a jail cell (You'd have to ask at the consulate first for a sort of permit for a short visit).

You need a passport. It depends what citizenship you do have. Some countries need a visa to enter USA, others (most EU nations) don't.

If you want, post your citizenship and I'll look it up for you.

yes. a canadian perm resident cannot get a canadian passport.

If you are travelling by car, not yet but by plane yes...But since you have residency and not citizenship you should check out Canada's passport agency's website.

yes you do, all landed immigrants in Canada need a visa, only citizen do not need one

Yep, they just started that thing. Pity isn't it? I used to love an afternoon drive to Lethbridge or Calgary just for entertainment, now they have to big deal it.
