Yes, it is true that mushrooms, like vegetables, are harder to digest than meat. I know because I have been working for a gastrologist (one who does endoscopy and colonoscopy) for a couple of months, assisting him in the operation room. This means I could see what is inside the patient's colon and stomach when he does the procedures. The doctor has a difficult time, sometimes the inability, to scope for polyps and other problems that's growing in the colon of patients who defy the orders to abstain from vegetables, mushrooms and cereals ONE DAY prior to the day of their scopes.

Well I know that magic mushrooms are hard to digest, and that is why you hallucinate (your liver struggles to get rid of the poisons, a bit like alcohol)

never heard that before. I love mushrooms. mushrooms on pizza and salads. I even put mushrooms when I make a western omelet. of course

They are so soft, I would think not. I love them on my steak, and never noticed any problem with digestion.
