Let her choose but make sure she only has enough clothing to last a few days. I wore the same skirt almost everyday in 6th grade because I liked it. Your daughter is growing so not wearing it means it will still be new when you sell it on eBay. She doesn't need more than enough school clothes to get to laundry day so don't over buy.

your dagter is obviously overhyped about her clothing.
she must see her clothing as if it is great, but does not really think about how it will fit inot her closet.
one of the many reason children do not wear clothing they buy is because they did think about the decision clearly.
make her test the clothing thoroughly.
account for 1 wash/dry cycle in the laundry
ask her again, are you sure you can wear this clothing with an absolute minimum of 4 other sets of clothes?
even after that, go to other stores, and check out the styles there, jsut to make sure she made up her mind........
hope this works
ps.s, as a last resort, u could just keep the reciept, and when she gets home, u could just make her try it on then, with the tsgs.
if she still likes it, DO NOT take the tags off, just put the clothing away.
the next day, ask her gain if she still likes the clothing.
if she does, only then remove the tags.

Have her buy her own clothes, my daughter did this too and once she had to buy her own, it ALL STOPPED! She had to use her allowance for clothing, just the mear threaten of using her own makes her think twice, allow her a very limited choice in her closet as well, then when she has to wear the same thing over and over, she will begin looking at other clothes she has, this doesn't always work though, the buying themselves WORKS VERY WELL!
OR~~~~~ Give her an allotted amout of money, say $30 and make her hold on to it, when it's gone shes done, the rest is up to her.
Or buy them and when she goes to school take them all back, when she asks for them you can go back and get onlt the one she asks for and if they are gone, say HEY thats what happens. Thats life!

Ok, well when I was 10 I had the exact same problem, I swear. What my mom did to make me wear the clothes is buy cute (cheap) jewerly, purse, or pair of shoes to go along with the clothes she doesn't like wearing. This encourages them to wear the outfit, and gets them excited. If that doesn't work, make a game out of it. Pick out the clothes she doesn't wear and tell her to wear them, and then she can pick out an outfit for you to wear. It makes the child feel special and grown up because they picked out an outfit for you (a "grown up"). If even that doesn't work, then try to take the clothes back, give them to another child, or take them to a resale store. Next time, keep all receipts after shopping for her!!
Hope u use this advice =]]

Maybe she changes her mind about them once she got home. I did that a lot when I was young and I *still* do it now (though not as much). Maybe you can keep the tags and receipts and tell her to not remove the tags until she wears it for the first time and is sure she is going to keep them. You could also have a "fashion show" when you get home from shopping and re-try on everything for each other. Happy Thanksgiving!

Don't take the tags off them until she wears them. If she doesn't wear them take them back to the store. Or I would not buy her any new clothes. Or give her an allowance for her clothes.

Tell her that she has to choose clothes she's going to like in the long-run and if she thinks she'll stop liking them, don't buy them. Give her one last chance and tell her if she can't choose her own clothes you will choose them for her and she will be wearing them no matter what, and then if she still won't wear the clothes, follow through. Good luck!

go out without her and get her plain black trousers and a couple of plain colored tops with no designs on them and make her wear them she will soon appreciate the clothes she wanted to buy!
either that or make her wear her pajamas all day every day she'll soon realise that she has great clothes!

Don't make her wear them, just, next time she asks for new clothes, say she hasn't worn the last set you bought her yet so she doesn't need anything new.
