LMAO!
Maybe you can find a mold and bake your own!
Do you think the American Kneaders Club would register it?

OMG! Maltipoo is a mutt. It's crossed with Maltese and Poodle. No mutts can be registered at AKC. Maybe you should wait when your daughter a little bit older to have some fun time with a dog. Also, you never buy a puppy as a Christmas present. Dogs are living creatures, not a piece of merchandise.

You will not find a purebred Maltipoo or one that is registered because a Maltipoo is not a breed - it is a cross between a Maltese and a Poodle.
Dogs take a tremendous amount of work, and with a 2-year-old - a toy breed is easily injured or even killed if a child should fall on the dog, which is bound to happen with a 2 year old... Are you sure that this is the gift you really want to get for your toddler? Please consider your choice carefully, perhaps visit your local animal shelter to get advice - they can provide you with a checklist of things to consider to see if a dog is really the right pet for you at this point in time. Good luck!

A maltipoo isn't actually a breed, it's a cross between two different breeds. You cannot find one that is AKC registered because it is a mutt.
Christmas time is a very bad time to introduce a dog to the family, anyway. The puppy generally receives lots of attention while it's new, and then gets neglected after the holidays are over.
A 2-year-old is in absolutely no position to care for a dog. In fact, you should probably postpone getting a dog of any kind until your child is older, preferably about 6 or 7 years old. 2-year-olds are too young -- they need constant supervision around the dog and a puppy can get exasperated by their rough playing.
My advice is to put off getting a dog for a few years. Do lots of research on caring for a dog, training them, and socializing them, and also finding a breed that is suitable for your family. Make getting the dog a family decision, not a last-minute Christmas gift. It's unfair to the dog to make it a Christmas puppy, since Christmas puppies almost ALWAYS end up the shelter eventually.

Ha ha pure BRED!
And anyways, good luck with that...you're not gonna be successful! A maltipoo is a MUTT! It is not a pure-bred ANYTHING! You are not gonna be able to find an AKC registered mutt anywhere! You could probably find a maltese/poodle mix at a local animal shelter, but you may have to wait to find the dog you want. Please...do everybody a favor, and save a shelter dog. Don't spend hundreds of dollars paying a backyard breeder for this "designer dog". I don't care what the breeder says, it is not AKC registered, and it is NOT a pure breed. Wait it out, and you just may find the perfect dog at your local humane society! Save a dog's life! Adopt!
Try www.petfinder.com to find your mix.

A "maltipoo" is a maltese/poodle mix. There's a mutt. Nothing more, nothing less. Therefore, it is not recognized by any reputable registry, including the AKC.
Puppies do not make good gifts. Most shelters are very wary of adopting out dogs during the holidays in fear that people haven't thought it through and only want a puppy to look cute in a bow or to surprise someone.
Since your daughter is only 2 years old, you will be caring for the dog. Also, if you planned on getting a puppy, realize that puppies are high energy and do teeth, so the puppy may chew on your daughter. Can you handle a 2 year old and a puppy?
There are lots of maltese/poodle mixes on http://www.petfinder.com in need of a good home. Please consider adopting if you're really interested in this mix. No responsible and reputable breeder would ever cross breeds. The purpose of breeding is to improve the breed - not ruin it by crossing breeds to make these cute little mutts to sell for top dollar. Any "breeder" you find selling these mixes are very irresponsible, and should NOT be supported. They sell these mutts for $600+ just by slapping a fancy name on them, claiming they're hypoallergenic, claiming they're healthier than purebreds, claiming you'll get the best of both breeds, etc. In reality, there is absolutely no guarantee for any of that. It's a mix, and there's no standard to breed them to.
Again, if you're really interested in this mix, please consider adoption and not getting it during Christmas.Realize that it'll be harder to get them around Christmas because shelters become wary of people and wonder if they really want a dog or if they just want to put a cute little red bow on them and stick them under the tree Christmas morning to surprise the children. A few months after Christmas, there will be lots of puppies in shelters after people dump them off because they didn't think thoroughly about getting a puppy. Perhaps you could wait until then to get a dog.
Dogs are a lifetime commitment. In 8+ years, will you still be caring for this dog? Will you still show this dog the same love and care you did the first day you got it? Or will you get tired of the dog and give it up? If you can put forth the time and effort to research both breeds of this mix and basic care of dogs, you'll be much more prepared.

The maltipoo is a recent mixbreed innovation. They are not registerable under AKC.
The sad part is that the breed has no standard, is not an improvement of either breed (Maltese or Poodle) which is the only reason breeding should be done.
Puppymills sell these dogs to pet stores (please don't buy one from a pet store...) and register them to a crap registry that doesn't even HOLD shows. The registry is meaningless.
Backyard breeders breed these a lot too as they are a high priced breed mix that brings in the bucks. They do not health test.
Its a sad thing, really. They are adorable, but just a mixed breed doggie that is often available at the pound.

Puppies make terrible christmas presents, and two year olds make terrible dog owners. And, as previously mentioned, Maltipoos aren't purebred dogs. I strongly encourage you to think about the hours of housebreaking and cleaning up dog crap, and going to training, and spending money on shots and a thousand vet checks before you essentially add another baby to your house. Most breeders recommend that puppies not be added to a household until the youngest child is at least five. The fact is, two year olds don't know how to behave around dogs, and no dog is immune to biting if it gets its tail pulled or it gets startled or kicked, as many children will do. Also, adding a dog over the holidays is the worst time to do it. Everybody is already very busy and a puppy will simply tear open presents and add to the chaos. Get your little girl a stuffed dog and wait a few years for a real one, it will be better for you all.

There are no purebred Maltipoos.. They are a mixed breed dog. Mixed breed dogs do not come in a purebred version.. They do not come in an AKC registered version cause they are MUTTS..
Big mistake buying a dog for Christmas.. But given you are buying a mixed breed dog that will come from BYBer, puppymill or petstore.. You'll probably find what you are looking for.. Won't be registered tho.. just cannot happen.. AKC doesn't consider mixes and mutts dogs that should be registered oddly enough.
Don't forget to buy pet health insurance.. You are sooooo gonna need it!

Maltipoos are the mix of a Maltese and a Poodle. You cannot get a purebred maltipoo. They are mutts. Mixed breed dogs with insanely high price tags. You will never find one that is AKC registered.
