From a consumer's standpoint, is there any difference between Visa or Mastercard?

I have a Visa and a Mastercard.

I don't notice any differences.

My Visa is from Chase and has a $800 credit limit.

My MasterCard is from GE MONEY BANK and has a $1500 credit limit.

I like the rewards better on the Visa. Every dollar I spend gets me 1 point on amazon.com. Every dollar I spend on amazon gets me 3 points. Once I get 2,500 points I get $25 amazon gift certificate.

My mastercard is similar, but the rewards are for money to use on paypal. I also think the chase.com is faster when I go to pay my bill.

Basically no. But there may be some differences between the features, ie lost luggage protection, car rental insurance benefits, etc. So if you have some interest in a given benefit, one might be better.
I believe Visa is accepted at more locations in Europe.

no, from a consumer's standpoint would be payback points as with Discover card and lowest % on unpaid amounts.

other than that, they are all the same value to the consumer
