I've heard that if you're no Mormon you're not allowed to go into their church?

YES
I'm a mormon and you certainly can go into their churches. It's the temples that members aren't allowed to go in.

And actually yes, they can go to your church if they want.

I've heard that too.
In fact I went to a mormon temple over the summer because the architecture of the building was beautiful, when I asked if I could see the inside they told me that only people who have reached a certain point within the church are allowed inside. I'm not morman so I wasn't allowed in....
ask your friend to check with their church if it would be ok.

There is a difference between Mormon Temples and Mormon churches.

Non-mormons can't go into the temples except rare occasions before they are dedicated (usually right after construction)..

ANYONE is welcome to go to a Mormon church to worship, attend activities, play sports, witness a baptism, etc.

You absolutly can go. You'll probably want to dress nice (dress or tie.)

Enjoy!

Hi friend. A Mormon chapel and a Mormon temple are not the same thing. Everyone is welcome inside a Mormon chapel. Many Mormon chapels even have "visitors welcome" written on the front of them. There is no need to contact any Mormon leader; there is no question. You would be allowed to enter.

You can go to our church buildings. You cannot, however, go inside our temples. Those are only for endowed adult members in good standing. Go, and enjoy. No one will even question whether you are a member or not.

Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend baptismal services. I was catholic and then was baptised into the LDS church. My family, who is still catholic, attended the service and felt very welcome.
