I am not a Christian because the church I was raised in claimed to be the only true church, yet it was only founded in the mid 1800's. When I asked if everybody before that went to hell, they'd either say yes or hum and haw and not answer me. When I asked where the Bible came from, they never answered me. So I did my own research and in the process determined that the only two possibilities were that the Catholic church was the only true church or that Jesus didn't come to establish anything like any of the churches in existence today. I tried the Catholic church for a while, but that just didn't make sense, so I left it all. I do tend to be somewhat Gnostic in my beliefs - I believe that Christ existed and that he is the son of God, but no more than any of us are children of God, too.

I have seen that the majority of people will say yes they are a Christian, but few will read God's Word( the Bible) and even less will try to live the way God wants us to . I am a Christian because I believe The Word of God. Because I have accepted His plan for salvation. When man kind first sinned God had to make a way for us to be forgiven... So He gave us Jesus as a perfect sacrifice to cleans us from all sins. Read God's Holy Word the Bible, in it is my answer.
John 3:16 Romans 3:23 Galatians 3:22 are only a few.
Without believing in God's Word and His way for salvation we all deserve and will to go to hell (Matthew 25:30 - not a pretty place!). Read the Bible!!!!!

I'm not a Christian because I have yet to find any specific ideology to ascribe to, and none of the Christian sects have been particularly appealing, except maybe the liberal quakers, (the quakers have 4 sects of these the liberal sect seems most reasonable and approachable to me, but still requires a faith that I simply do not possess)...

I am not a christian probably because I wasn't brought up as one. I thought about it but it just didn't take - I just don't care that much if there is a god or not.
People always think because I say this truth, that somehow that has to make me amoral but
I think I do pretty good at living out my ideals.
If I get judged - fair enough!

i am not a christian because i find a spiritual path through self realization in hinduism
christianity promises heaven to those who beleive in jesus and hell for those who dont
according to them if you do not worship god its a sin
i find that wrong
just like any atheist would say the closest definition of a sin should be anything done to harm others
i have found ways in hinduism to get rid of impurities in my body and help me concentrate and focus more to be able to use the other 90% brain power we humans have
also hinduism is based on science
the Vedas are the oldes doccuments alive and they are book of law and science
they all have been proven with scientific reasoning
its a religeon that doesnt judge or discriminate other religeons unlike christinity

I'm not a Christian...for many reasons but the biggest reason is just that it didn't ring true for me, it just didn't feel right and after doing some major research I have finally found something that does.

I used to be a Christian but it never felt true to me and I found the religion that did....Hinduism. Pretty much everything Harry says is how I feel.
