the artist is Alex Austen 1913, it seems to be quite well painted.
I have tried many times to find out about him on the internet, he cannot be a well known artist. Any ideas about how I might get some info about him?

It seems there are three by that name that fit the time period: Alex Austen, British, Alexander Austen, US, and Alexander Austin, British... which makes for a bit of confusion, but perhaps the links below will help to sort it all out. Hope this helps!

If there is any value in his work, an Art Gallery would know.
