It is.
You go to public school don't you?
EDIT: Semantic Jade. Many Pagans are not true polytheists either, but it still counts as polytheism.

because hinduism is not polytheistic but monotheistic but alot of people do not study hinduism's main philosophy and thus become ignorant and start stereotyping
im not saying you are ignorant
ok let me explain
all the gods in hinduism are aspects of only one god who is a supreme soul
this soul has no form because if God had a form there would be imperfection
God is the universe to hindus and he is everywhere in everything

Because polytheism means belief in many deities. Hindu's describe all manifestations of God as just an aspect of the one God. Remember the trinity doctrine of Christianity---same thing.

All gods = One god, Brahma.
She should be right to be pissed off. Don't go around and spewing non-sense about things you don't know about. Maybe if you learned a bit more and be more culturally intelligent you would have known.

Well, Hinduism is pretty much a polytheistic religion. They believe in many gods and spiritual things. If she doesn't think so then shes in denial.

Hinduism is polytheistic in the same way that Christians who believe in the trinity are polytheists, which is to say, not at all.
