Kerry takes on oilman Pickens challenge.?

Question

Texas oilman T. Boone Pickens' has offered a million dollars to anyone
who can disprove any of the Swift Boat Veterans claims.
Kerry said: “I trust that you are a man of your word, having made a very public challenge at a major Washington dinner, and look forward to taking you up on this challenge”
As a retired military officer ... my money is on Kerry.
What is your take on the challenge?

I feel that John Kerry is a lying douchebag. No way did he see a guy with an RPG, land the swiftboat, jump off and shoot the guy before the guy could have fired the RPG.

My dad was in Nam and his Vet buddies who knew of the incident said Kerry shot the guy in the back while the guy was running away.

Kerry also claimed to have thrown his medals over the White House fence, but somehow still had them years later.

The Swift Boat Veterans are the people who make this claim..

If you're money is on Kerry, you'll lose that just like your vote in 2004. By the way, that's when Pickens (who financed the swift boat ads) first challenged Kerry to disprove them.
If he were able to do it, he wouldn't have waited this long. Of course he's responding with bravado now that it's become heated up in public.

During the 2004 election Vietnamese language papers ran many articles about Sen. Kerry's stories. At the time I was seeing a Vietnamese woman. She is 55 and grew up during the entire conflict as did all her friends. Her Brother in Law was an ARVN Major 1955-1975. They were both in Tra Vihn which is part of the area Kerry would have been. The Major was a Liaison Officer to the US and Aussie Forces in that Province. Out of 17 that grew up in that war and one that served in 20 years of it only one had a bad thing to say about the US involvement. One had a brother killed in a US bombing raid.

The consensus of the group was that Sen Kerry was a lying SOB. Period. End of story. While he may have told some truths, the stories of rape, murder, burning of villages was denounced by all of them.

Who am I to dispute what they lived thru and witnessed first hand.

First let me say T Boone did not make his fortunes making sucker bets. Secondly Kerry disgraced a whole generation of Viet Nam vets with his lies and insulted our brave troops currently serving with his ill thought out comment recently about their educational and intelligence levels. If Hanoi John could have disproved the Swifties claims..he would have done so in 2004.

The one stipulation that Kerry will never agree to is the full disclosure of Kerry's military record.

i wonder, did pickens' do any military time? was he in the texas air nat'l guard with that other "patriotic" american, bush? i respect any one who did military time. those so called swift boat veterans who defamed kerry get little credibility with me.

i voted for kerry once, and i'll vote for him again.

and i'll vote against anything that victor bout is for. i do not slam too many "veterans," but as i said before to victor, for him i will make an exception. talk is cheap victor, just like your mama. i still think that you are a jerk.
