It really depends on the person. I haven't dated anyone but im 14. I had a friend who started dating at 11 (yeah it was freaky!) and she is still dating now. It depends on when you think you are ready. If you think that you are ready then go for it! A lot of good relationships can come from dating at a young age.

Well I aways thought 16 was good. But most people date at 14. Any age over 12 is good I guess. I have known 12 year olds to date. It seems too young to ''date''. But I think hanging out is o.k.

30 is a great age for my kids!
I personally think 13 is way to young. Though your parents parent however they want and who am I to criticize them.....you might be a mature 13.
I did not start dating till later. I had more important things to do like work and school.

16 years, and date only someone under 18 by this age you are starting to mature enough to know a bad situation, and can feel more comfortable telling someone you trust about any questions you may have.

whenever you feel tou are able to start... but i think that one must make the most of the single life when your young and not grow up fast...
in life most of ur life, you will be with ur husband/wife... so why start spending time already with the opposite sex? i would make dates from 15 onwards.. but seriously dating i would say about 18/19...
i`m 18, and sometimes i still feel that i`m too young to be in the relationship i`m currently in... but thats just my opinion

Too early. You could easily end up in situations that you are not ready to deal with, resulting in bad choices that you will regret for the rest of your life. Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. You have plenty of time!

To me, you really shouldn't start dating until you can actually go somewhere with out your (or your dates) parents taking you...16 is good.

I think 16 is a good age, but it's up to your parents.

I had my first boyfriend when I was 11 but I wouldn't exactly call it dating. When your parents give you the a-okay is a good time.

Old enough to be reasonable and responsible for any action of yours. Dating is a prelude to a more serious life style. You must be capable of self discipline.
