He spoke in that rather clipped old style BBC "received pronuncation" way, like the voice-overs on some of those old British newsreels from the 1930's & 1940's.

Well since he was just 'portrayed' as such, he wasn't really like that. There was no Euro Jesus.
It's a bit like me saying did Chris Kringle (whoever he is?) speak with an american accent. There was no such person. The question makes no sense.
The real Jesus spoke Aramaic.
Oh, and the real Santa Claus was a turkish guy, a bishop.

Well since the image does resemble John Lennon c.1968 it wouldn't be much of a stretch to expect a voice that sounds like Lennons'

He was Jewish, lived in Galilee, and spoke with that northern or Galilaen (sp?) accent. The people from Judea (Jerusalem, etc.,) could tell Galileans by their speech or dialect.
