Definitive proof that this "Jesus Christ" and "God" are not more than just another mythical creature whose author got carried away.

By the way, saying "look at all the things that Jesus did! They're right there in the BIBLE!!!!!!" is NOT proof. All it is proof of is the fact that you're stupid enough to believe what a book tells you. A book that even the most devout Christians will admit is "partly stories." Ha, so how you do discern what is false and what is true? Based upon what fits your life better? Give me a break.

What does it take? It takes predestination! But then again predestination would have to mean that no one accepts Jesus Christ. We don't get to allow or not allow Jesus into our hearts. It is the Holy Spirit who enlightens us and opens our eyes to the truth. Any "acceptance" is only a misguided reaction to what the Holy Spirit has done.

We are not neutral before the Lord, we are guilty. And guilty people do not see the light unless it is shown to them. We do not drawn ourselves out of our own shadows. It must be done externally (yes, I am making reference to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" -- but it is God, not a philosopher, who brings us into the truth).

Yes, it means that some who are guilty, stay guilty. And some who are guilty, are rescued from their destruction. It takes tremendous love to save, and God is glorified in his saving of some, as well as his reprobation of the guilty.

there is such a thing as opinion and different points of view. i'm an atheist and i sometimes wonder, much in the same way as you, why other people can't see what i see. in the end, you just have to face the fact that if no-one has ever succeeded in making the entire population of the world believe the same as them (although Hitler had a damn good try), it's never going to happen. it's irritating petty little people like you who make me more sure that the world would be better off without religion.
i believe a different thing to you. it doesn't make either of us wrong.

To accept his existence: He will need to simultaneously appear in the sky all around the world while speaking in the native tongue of all who hear him. I will need news reports to this effect. He will need to explain his message and who he is. He will then need to turn the moon into cheese, or something equally impossible. I will need the change verified by NASA or some other space agency. Any omnipotent being could easily pull this off.

To accept him as my Lord and Savior: He will need to prove himself worthy of that title.

It would take a lot. To covert me, you'd have to prove some things to me, such as:

God exists
God is involved in and cared about human affairs
Jesus Christ was an actual person
Jesus Christ is divine
That this salvation is possible
And so on...

Your first answerer had it right!

It is against human nature to go God's way. It cannot be done without an act of God. The act of God that I responded to is the will of the Father combined with the urging by the Holy Spirit, through the propitiation of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said:
John 6
44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.

And I believe what He said.

Proof that God exists and proof that he's not the vile monster the Bible makes him out to be, if so.

Since that will never happen I'll stick to my happy life. Thanks.

Please stop bugging people about this stuff. It's annoying, and it makes people hear the word "Christian" and want to run in the opposite direction.

Objective proof of Ol' Jehovah's existence? Then further proof of Jesus' existence and divinity?

Jesus to appear in front of me in a flash of blinding light; then he would take me up to heaven, show me round, introduce me to God, bring me back down, and make an ocean part. Until then, I'm not buying it.
