Do you include ship designers when you mention simpletons?
It appears that most modern ships are built to the scale of the ark ie 6 x width = length. Best for stability.
Yes Noah certainly built the Ark and to the measurements that God gave him----perfection!

I believe in the story of Noah's ark and the flood. There is ample evidence of a massive flood and the remains of the ark would be on Mount Arafat which is controlled by Turkey. From my understanding, they will not allow explorers to look for it but something has been seen from the sky.

He sure did. There is historical evidence of a world-wide flood. Probably not yet any evidence of him building an ark, but he had too do something. The flood killed everything. This is when the dinosaurs died. And it was not 7 of every animal... it was 2 of every animal that God directed to the ark. GOD DIRECTED... Noah did not have to go and gather the animals. And remember, the earth was still young. Trees were not a problem. God is MIGHTY and he can do all things thru anyone he wants, including Noah,.

I do. And the measurements are in the Bible, so I know that. The animals were in Kinds, some were baby's and there is a possibility they went into hibernation. This is all covered. And you can call me a simpleton if you want. I shall just understand you. Because I have looked at the possibilities thoroughly.

Have you seen some of the cruise ships today? They could carry the entire population of a small city and then some.
The Queen Elizabeth !! weighs 151,400 gross tons ... that's just the ship ... It can carry 3500 passengers ... not to mention the lifeboats on the sides, luggage, supplies, etc. That floats.
BTW, it was two of each animal and only 7 of a select few. P

just about every religion has a story of the great flood,so maybe there was a cataclismic flooding of our planet thousands of years ago, however, like yourself,i do not beleive there was any great boat called the ark,i think noah's ark was more like a safe haven on a high plateau in the mountains where animals and humans gathered to escape the flood waters.
and as every religion as a noah like character there would have been more than one safe haven around the world and hence more than one ark

Noah built an ark, not an arc. Of course it was big, it took him and his sons 120 years to build and a week to load all the animals. God shut the door with His very own hand. All things are possible with God.

It's an allegory, it's not meant to be taken literally. Think of the logistical problems...how would poor Noah get to Australia for the kangaroos, Antarctica for the penguins and the Arctic for Polar bears. The Bible is not meant to be taken literally, the world was not created in 6 (24 hour) days but periods of millions of years.

No. I think he actually built an Ark. Don't know how you could fit all those animals in a semi-circle.

i realize that God did command TWO of every animal to go to the ark. yes, i do believe in God's word.
why would the ark need a tree?
if you read the bible...and find other books according to the story you might get a better understanding. i.e. how big the ark is and such.
