What kinda of country would we live in, if a majority of the citizens could not look at the original Constitution and tell you what it says ?
Deport illegal, and keep the dream alive.

Marci - Guess what, America did not have a native language when the pilgrams landed here, there was not even a country here, till they created it.

The same one that is a melting pot for people from many different races, cultures and colors.
A lot of immigrants know the constitution more than people that were born here. I don't support illegal immigration but am pro legal immigration. Don't forget this country was built by and with immigrants. Unless you are a native American, you also are an immigrant, regardless of where you were born.
Besides, this is God's country and we are God's people, including those that do not believe in Him. This country was made the great country that is now by Christian people of strong faith. We should not forget that and become foolishly proud.

The Pilgrims did learn to communicate with the Natives, also immigrants (read your history books).
The Pilgrims were not illegal. Most of the land of the original colonies was purchased or traded for in one way or another.
The USA has a perfectly good constitution. Our leadership chooses not use it or our judicial system for the protection of the USA.
America was built on immigration, legal immigration. Like it or not.
All that land that is claimed by the illegals was gained through treaty and purchase:
1)Much of the Southwest was originally part of Mexico, prior to being annexed by the United States in the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
2)The Gadsden Purchase (known as Venta de La Mesilla in Mexico) is a 29,670 mi² (76,770 km²) region of what is today southern Arizona and New Mexico that was purchased by the United States from Mexico in 1853 for $10 million. The initial purchase treaty was signed in Mexico in 1853, but a very different treaty was finally ratified by the U.S. Senate and signed by President Franklin Pierce on June 24, 1854. The purchase included lands south of the Gila River and west of the Rio Grande

Well most legals I know haven't read the constitution either. I wish everyone was required a 'continuing education' requirements on civics. Maybe then we would not have the mess we have right now with our government. We would not have the problem with illegals in our country then either.
I read the constitution several times a year. I have several copies in different rooms throughout my house. I try and read the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers ever other year. It is surprising how far our current elected officials have deviated from our founding father's intentions.

This is just a small part of an evil plan. Don't blame the immigrants who come here looking to make a few bucks to make their lives better, they are just pawns, and this whole immigration issue is a smoke screen.
Blame those in the government who are trying to destroy our sense of nationality so that they can destroy our Constitutional government. It is all about money for a few.
If you are concerned about the Constitution check out the bills just passed by the House and about to be voted on by the Senate. They are about to kill free speech.
Don't know if its true, but I heard that our President said that "the Constitution is nothing but a G D piece of paper".
It is going to be a very new world than what we are used to.

It would look the same as today, since the majority of citizens don't know much, if anything about the Constitution.
Wow, such ignorance. I think the six member nations of the Iroquois Confederacy would disagree with what you say about there not being a nation or a language. Of course, if it wasn't white people, it didn't exist, right? You're kind of proving Marci's point, aren't you?

There would be no freedom. However, keep in mind that not everyone is capable of fully understanding everything that they read. Interjecting a false intent into the works of our founding fathers has the potential to distort the realization of their vision for this country. Untempered, that can be equally dangerous. Thus, the right to discuss contradictory perceptions of its meaning is just as critical to our national success.

Most people in the world have never read their countries' constitutions, would have difficulty fighting their way through the obscure language they were written in, and are only vaguely aware of what those documents say. Nevertheless, the countries and their citizens function perfectly well - including the trolls.

If our government hadnt trampled and picked apart our constitution more people probably could. The fact of the matter is that income tax, federal reserve and patriot act destroyed what this country was founded on.

Deport the illegals and make sure that all legal immigrants have access to the tools needed to learn the language and gain the potential to be as successful as they can in our great country.
