You must report the child's dysfunctional home life and the death threats. As adults we are responsible for the well being safety of all children. As for the head lice that is a different matter and I wouldn't report the mother. When my children were in primary school we were sent letters as to which particular preparation to buy - they changed regularly as it seems the lice soon become immune if using only one type of treatment! As a matter of fact, 2 of my children were in the same class one caught head lice several times and the other didn't but both were treated!

Firstly explain to them that headlice spread through contact so encourage them not to sit touching heads with other children etc.
Ever since my daughter started nursery school I mix 5 or so drops of essential tea tree oil in with her usual conditioner and so far this has worked - she's never had headlice. Tea tree is a natural antibacterial but whether it's that, or the smell the lice don't like, I don't know - but it works! It may be also that the conditioner smooths down the hair cuticles so the lice can't get a grip, but it's worked for us as a prevention.

boys are less complicating then girls cause there hair most of the time is too short for lice to live on. plus if they do get it you can shave their head. just remind them not to share hats, toques etc, tell them not to rub head with other kids etc. you can also put hair jel or hair spray on their heads in the mornig, lice dont like that stuff and put a drop or two of tee tree oil in the shampoo as a repelant, its stinks but it works

if kids are gonna get them there going to get them, head lice love clean hair and kids always play close together ,so unfortunately there is nothing u can do,just keep checking and treat as needed,my friend used to treat her kids hair every week trying to prevent them but in the end her daughter got them anyway, its a common thing in kids, just be thankful u have boys with short hair, when my daughter got them it was such a chore to go through her long hair,

I dont think you can....you can tell them not to touch heads with other kids but....well you know kids. Only thing I can think is to comb a little tea tree oil through their hair....this is meant to be a treatment for lice....it could prevent also?

Hello head lice is hard to deal with but you can use paul mitchell tea tree products to prevent head lice. Tee tree will not get rid of head lice if they already have it but it will help prevent them from getting it!!

Product!! A common misconception about lice is that they are attracted to dirty hair, but in fact they are attracted to CLEAN hair!! I am a Kindergarten teacher, and trust me, we all use some sort of product (gel, hairspray, mousse, etc.) to keep the buggies out!!

Short haircut. Attack with bugrake and conditioner once a week. Use tea-tree shampoo and conditioner (Supermarket own brand is fine)
Ummmm ... you're gonna hate me, but do yours and hubby's hair as well with the bugrake.
Did you know that the French for head lice is poux de tete?
