If you was to be on a bulking diet 7-8 meals a day, but without the training, would you still gain weight? I know the training burns fat but what's so bad about fat if you're looking to get out of being skinny?

Thanks in advance.

weight as in fat not muscle. muscles do not simply grow because there is a caloric excess in the diet unless there has been an extended period of undernourishment which caused muscle wasting.

why not perform some resistance training so you gain some muscle and fat instead of just fat. going from skinny to fat will just set you up for being fatter years down the road.

It depends what your eating in those 7 meals. I eat 6 meals a day and I maintain my weight w/o exercise but thats because im eating fruit and veggies and stuff. If you want to gain, your meals are going to need lots of protein, carbs and a good amount..not to much of good fat. But in the end it all boils down to how many calories in versus out. So to gain you need to go a couple hundred above your normal cal intake

It's easy - eat more, eat healthy. Do this and you'll gain weight. Don't worry about "bulking cycles" or "fat burning zones", these are loads of crap.
