My father's wife used to work at a bank. I have reason to believe, due to some strange questions that I have been asked, that she is getting her friends at the bank to pull my credit reports. I would like to know if I am correct as she seems to know my credit history better than I do.

Whenever ANYONE pulls your credit report, that fact is included on your records. When you get a copy of your credit report, it will show everyone who looked at it.

The ONLY people who can pull your report are those who have a legitimate reason to get it. So if you see a strange name come up on your report, you have grounds to sue them and cause all sorts of problems.

Pull your credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com and see what's up.

You need to get a credit monitoring service for this! I have Equifax 3 in 1 myself. They will give you alerts everytime someone pulls your credit reports and they have the ability to lock your credit so only you can say who gets to pull it!

You can also place an initial fraud alert on your reports too so that everytime it sees an inquiry, you are going to get a phone call and you can see who looked into it!

I had my ID stolen and went through a bankruptcy, so this is an area I'm familliar with and I still got my score up from 486 to 730 in a little over a year, so go to my website and read it all! My website is full of ways to protect your self!

Clearly what is going on here is questionable and with a credit monitoring service telling you who pulled your credit reports, you could have grounds to sue for damages! One great thing i found out about my credit monitoring service, ALL credit alerts go retro-active once you sign up! That means you can look back a couple of years!

I agree with Studly.

Do what he recommended and pull your credit reports from each CRA so you can check both the hard and soft inquiries. You will not be able to see any soft inquiries on a 3in1 report from any tri-merge company.
